Ladder 1

Ladder 1 Specs

 

Ladder 1 is a state of the art, 114' ladder truck.This apparatus is two trucks in one. The first is a 2,000 GPM pumper and the second is a 114' aerial device. This combination is typically referred to as a "Quint." The pumper portion of the truck is manufactured in Florida by E-One. The aerial device is made in Finland by Bronto Skylift. The aerial portion is transported by ship from Finland to Florida where the truck is built around the aerial device. Ladder 1 is equipped with ground ladders, auto extrication equipment, fans for venting smoke and carbon monoxide, lights for lighting emergency scenes at night, and other firefighting equipment. Ladder 1, the latest fire truck Mdewakanton Emergency Services took delivery of, went into service in 2005.
