Mdewakanton Public Safety and Conservation and Enforcement join agencies across the country in recognizing National Police Week (May 11-17) and National Peace Officers Memorial Day (May 15).
Signed into law in 1962, this week is a time to recognize law enforcement officers who put their lives on the line every day to keep our communities safe and to honor and remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.
